Hi Christopher,

Your campaign site is very good! There's a lot of good information on there, and the layout is clean. I'm sure you’ll be getting my vote.

I especially liked what you had to say about supporting the Second Amendment.  I'm also a strong supporter of the individual's right to own firearms, and to do so responsibly.

Best of luck with your campaign. I hope you're successful with it!

Take care,
Doug

P.S. Thank you for your service to our country as a United States Marine!

Professor Geary,

I think your website is very well put together and lets the voter know your position on several key sticky points. I will be voting for you in the election because I know that you are a man with convictions and honor. I do wish you well in this election.

Scott N.

Mr. Geary,

After paging through your campaign website, I think you have done an excellent job with it. Your home page gave just enough information to let me know why you are running but didn't bombard me with too much all at once. It was a good hook and made me want to further explore the rest of your site. I believe that the information is presented in a modest but authoritative manner that reflects something voters will respect. I especially liked the part where you discussed the record of Senator Kopplin. That is something that voters need to know about, but I did not get the feeling that you were attacking Senator Kopplin at all.

-Nate B.

Mr. Geary,

The immigrant question is complicated. Before the problem can be solved, the punishment must clearly and undoubtedly outweigh the reward of crossing illegally. When I lived in Texas, I saw border patrol in places like Tijuana. In practice, the illegal entrants who got caught simply were escorted back to the other side. Many of them got away. If the illegals continue to cripple our system, we will not be able to help them or ourselves.

Last winter while on vacation, I took my asthmatic son to the emergency room and could not get in due to all of the illegals. Through my previous job in Texas, I saw many who were collecting social security for their children, etc. I have also been conned in the past by contractors who asked for half of the money as a down payment to do a job and then left with the money, never finishing the job or doing it poorly. It is very, very common for a legal immigrant to own a company that employs illegals.

I and many of my friends have been personally affected by illegal immigration. We would have voted for someone who would have said something out of the ordinary and had a real plan for serious penalties that would stop the problem, but we would not favor stiff penalties for the purpose of being inhumane. Feeling the penalties is necessary to be humane to the people who obey the law.

I feel that denying social services would be a good first step. Maybe holding the people who get caught at the border for a period of time would also help. Maybe no-frills jails for 72 hours or something--anything to make them think hard before crossing and make them dread getting caught.

One of the few true responsibilities of our government is to protect our borders. Our current border protection is a joke. The only reason we have not yet been attacked by terrorists entering through the Mexican border is that the terrorists have not decided to do it yet.

I think you are on the right track. Good luck to you!

-Sherry

Christopher,

I agree with everything you are saying in your section on the environment. I have always felt that every time they send up a space shuttle it does damage to the environment. Our weather conditions are not the same as they used to be. There is too much destruction going on in the world. I saw a program that showed how one country, I think it is Brazil, uses sugar cane instead of gas because they feel it is better for the air that they breathe.

According to the Bible, the three-headed beast is politics, and I believe that. Presidential candidates will say just about anything to get elected, but when they are in office the tables are turned.

I agree that we need to develop incentives to produce bio fuels. It would make the earth cleaner and the air easier to breathe. No wonder so many people develop asthma. You never know what you are breathing or if it is good for you.

We have some towns here in the United States that are already using wind power to power their homes. I have also seen these while visiting New Jersey. A lot of the farmers are using wind power. It would make things better for the environment, but who know if everyone will go for it. I know I would.

Nikki

Professor Geary,

I know there are a lot of problems to worry about out there, and a lot of broken hearts all because of politics and uneducated persons trying to rule countries and states. People blame others for this and that, etc.

I wish you the best in your campaign and in your life. I wish that you accomplish your dreams, and if your dreams are to make our children's lives better in the future we all will stand by you. It would be a great honor for me to see you succeed knowing that I was part of your support.

When someone becomes a hero, adults can become children again and will do what they are asked to do. I think your hard work in this campaign is going help the people outside your schools see you and make you become a much bigger figure in the near future.

Baltazar

Very impressive, sounds like you have a clear idea of what you want to do, and have the drive to do it. I wish you all the best, and keep up the good work.

Michelle

Christopher,

In this time of ours, we have the ability and the means to direct the future toward a more positive and safe world for all children. That is not only a responsibility through politics but also through life, and I sense that you have a strong hold of both sides to do just that. I wish you complete success in your campaign, and I am sure your efforts and integrity will shine through all others simply because you have the rare ability to see the truly important values in life.

My best to you always,
Robyn

Christopher,

I think what you wrote on the environment is great! I couldn't have said it better myself. Yes, the ozone layer is definitely one of our biggest environmental issues, because it is meant to protect us from severe weather such as intense heat, cold, tsunamis, floods, and other tropical storms. With the breakdown of the ozone layer all of these natural disasters occur more frequently than ever before.

I also believe too many condos, homes, shopping centers, etc. are being built, leaving no habitat for the wild animals and causing them to appear more frequently near our homes, highways, and schools. It leaves them no place to give birth and nest their young. God forbid that we might get too close to the young of a wild animal by mistake. The mother may attack from feeling threatened by our presence, seriously injuring or killing us.

You have done a great job. Keep up the good work and good luck!

Ronnie

I just wanted to commend you on your choice to be pro-life. I know that I would like to vote for someone who is not "on the fence" or picks a side depending on which day it is. I am a firm believer in my faith and believe that children, ALL children, are each a miracle of God no matter the circumstances that they were conceived. My hope is that you keep making your mark and stand strong in what your beliefs are, no matter what people do to push you. I appreciate you reaching out to your constituents and providing us a forum to voice our opinions and be heard.

Heather

I agree. They had a march for illegal immigration in LA not too long ago. I think that if people come over respectfully then it is more acceptable. I liked the way you said "come in through the front door instead of climbing over the back fence." In Los Angeles there are a lot of illegal immigrants working in the garment districts and all over. They hire them for cheaper than minimum wage and exploit them. I think that those people put themselves in danger and that is another reason why I support what you are saying.

Michelle

I agree with your view on Immigration totally. I am a self-employed painter, so it is a big issue for me.

Rod

Professor Geary,

I appreciate the honesty and integrity that is reflected in the way you operate your business. These characteristics are virtues that not everyone is blessed with. Your ability to be confrontational when it is needed most is the most valuable asset that you will bring to the world of politics. When others roll over on issues, I believe that you will choose to make the difficult decisions in the face of controversy and at the risk of being unpopular. What I see in you is the desire to do what you love and never hold any regrets. You once asked the karate school students to mail an apology to one person that they were not completely kind to. Well, I still have the stamp you gave me; I apologized in person and from that moment on I realized that you are only hard on me because you expect a lot from me. Expecting a lot from the people of the state of Nebraska is exactly what they need, too. We all need a leader in one fashion or another, and having a state senator that can act as a mentor as well is what our forefathers had imagined when they were creating this country. I would say "Good Luck" on your campaign, but there is no such thing as luck. There is only "Opportunity" that is there for everyone to see. You have a firm grasp on that "Opportunity," and to you my glass rises.

Kind regards,
Joe B.

Mr. Geary,

You make some very good points on global warming and our environment. I had no idea about the ineffectiveness of producing ethanol. Good luck with your political pursuits.

Rainy

Christopher Geary,

Excellent! And excellent again! Now that's the way to do it =)

You really have done your research on global warming. Another point to consider with ethanol is to think of the mad race to cut down more forests for fields of corn. With that much money on the line to grow a fuel crop, the poor forest wouldn't stand much of a chance. The fear of it driving the food prices higher concerns a lot of my "green friends" here.

I just loved how you presented this issue--very, very nice, beginning with the creation of Earth.

Michelle

Christopher,

I am so glad you care about the kids and their well being. As a preschool teacher in Bellevue, I see the lifestyle and needs of the young ones. I feel we need to start when they are young to open doors for them. I would like foster parents to be screened better before they take children. A lot of them just do it for the money and are not very nice to the kids. I also work with school-age kids, and they are a lot smarter than we think. They turn to us when they think no one cares. I wish there were programs for kids in their schools beside counselors to help them.

Lori

I have read all of the material on your campaign page. Like you, I oppose the death penalty. This is how I see it: How can you kill someone because they killed someone? Sounds a bit hypocritical to me. I wish you all the best in your campaign.

Cheryl

Mr. Geary,

I agree with you on more than one area of your stance on immigration and would like to add my point of view from my own personal experience.

Illegal immigrants not only enter the United States through the southwest but up where I used to live, in places such as Ogdensberg and other areas along the St. Lawrence River into New York State, mostly due to the high demand for migrant farm workers throughout this area that I lived in which is easily accessible to Route 81 and I-90.

Despite the efforts of our local and state governments trying to enforce strict heath screenings on our farm owners, many of the workers often test positive for things such as HIV and hepatitis along with other human infections which if not for the screenings would go untreated and would continue to be spread to other people they would have contact with.

As far as any criminal history backgrounds of the workers, it's both unfortunate and alarming that the farm owners are in such need for the help that they rarely have a concern for that as long as the work can get covered.

Most of this takes place between April and October. When winter hits, the migrant workers make their way into the rest of the United States looking for farm work elsewhere. Then the process starts all over again during the next growing season. As much as our government tries to stop this continued cycle, there doesn't seem to be enough done to stop it.

Wally D.

Christopher,

I admire your honesty. I think it's important to be upfront and stand by what you believe, whether others agree or not.

Hillari

Mr. Geary,

First and foremost, good luck on running for the Legislature. My main concern is to improve the Foster Care System so that children are adopted in a timely manner. It took me 4 years to adopt a child that I had since he was 5 weeks old. This is just one example. There are more children in the state of Nebraska that are still waiting for permanent homes. Just a little thought for the back of your mind. Thanks for listening, and good luck!

Sarah

Hi, Christopher,

I agree with you 100% that we have to clean up the environment because our actions are destroying the world around us. I heard on TV today that some of the cleaning products that supposedly are green products are not good for the environment. I think the reason we are having so much bad weather in the summer and also now in the winter has to do with depletion of the ozone layer, and that is why we are having global warming. It makes you think.

Take care,
Faye T.

Best of luck to you in the cutthroat world of politics. We need some good ones in there!

Rod P.

Christopher,

I totally agree with your stance on illegal immigration. I believe all immigrants should go through the proper channels to become a part of our country. There are millions who have done this. I feel the major problem is Mexico and that, short of a Berlin-type wall, we need to focus more effort along that border! You have made some very good points, and you have the right attitude about the whole situation!

Patty

I think that you are right on target in your logic on immigration, and I agree with your position completely!

Semper Fi,
Will

Professor Geary,

Good luck on your campaign. Although I'm not in your district, I hope you do well and are given the chance to take your no-nonsense, get-it-done style to our State Government. I think we could use it.

David

Christopher,

I was surfing the Net and noticed your new adventure. I'm not surprised, because I always knew that you would one day become and achieve something bigger. I wish you nothing but the best, and you have a supporter in me. Take care of yourself and good luck in the future.

Sheri K.

Hi Christopher,

I just want to wish you good luck with your campaign for State Senator of District 3 in Nebraska.

I think you have great ideas for your platform and that you have a true understanding of the real world. This is where many other politicians fail!

I know you have the will and determination to see this through, and if one man can make a difference it is certainly you. You have a real passion, so I know you will succeed. I can’t think of a better person to stand for State Senator.

You have accomplished so much in your life. This will be another chapter, the icing on the cake. You will certainly get my vote! If I can be of help to you in any way, please do not hesitate to ask.

Good luck and best wishes,

Melita D.

Hi Christopher,

I was very impressed with your site. It is very comprehensive, clear, and straightforward, which I personally find refreshing.

I must admit that my opinion might be just a bit skewed, I am a Democrat and agree with you on almost every issue. But I tried to read it from an objective perspective.

I especially appreciated how you tied together the discipline that it took to get where you are and how those same skills would help make you a quality Senator. When I was reading your home page, I was thinking "Mention the karate," but when I clicked on the next tab, it was all right there.

Your picture is great. You look very handsome, wholesome, and intelligent. I think you look like the next Senator of Nebraska.

I wish you the best of luck.

Lisa

Hi Chris!

Just read your section on immigration, and I must tell you that it is so awesome. I agree totally with what you are saying. These immigrants come over here to the US and just mess up the place. They bring drugs and all kinds of other mess. It is easy for a pregnant Mexican married woman and her children to apply for Medicaid, food stamps, and welfare money, and they have no problem at all getting it. They come over here acting like they are helpless and in so much in need and the kicker for me is that they act like they don't understand a word of English. BS!!! They aren't dumb by a long shot; the American people are just dumb to these devices and plots that are being used to enter ithe United States. American citizens have a hard time trying to get benefits like government aid and can't because of a $1:00 difference oever in income, but these people have no problem. So let the American citizens start acting dumb and see what happens. The American people have got to wake up and see the problem. Officials have to see that there is a problem and do something about it, not just come behind a microphone discussing the problem and then go have lunch. So my hat is off to you, Mr. Geary, and you surely have my vote.

Good luck! I know that you are going to win!

Michael S.

Hi Chris,

All I can say about this issue after reading your section on immigration is that I, as well as thousands of other Americans, can plainly see that this is a government-planned joining of Mexico and Canada to America to become the American Union, and we can kiss our United States goodbye along with our rights according to the Constitution.

Think about it, Chris--how long has this game been going on? Many years! "We" have to select the right number for English! I'm 64, I have labored long for what little I have. These people come into our country and are given a green light to medical care, Social Security, credit cards, our schools, and free lunches. And they don't pay taxes, including income tax, because they are allowed to work without permits or licenses. They are permitted to send our American dollars to Mexico--trillions.

No, I'm not going to believe one damn word I hear about how Nebraska is going to stop all of this! After all, the governor got his orders from the president, and the mayor got his orders from the governor. The police force got their orders from the mayor. The Nebraska legislators are only putting up stalls, saying they are voting on it. What a joke.

Do you realize how many MS 13 gang members are in the U.S now? Thousands, And they, along with a lot of other gangs, are shipping drugs, guns, etc. into the United States. They are allowed to kill our border guards, but if ours kill one of them, the guards are imprisoned.

But I won't bore you with things you probably already know. Just wanted to let you know that we are not all dummies out here. We know we are the frog in the boiling water that has slowly had the heat turned up. And we are about to give our country over to whomever. I wish you well, Chris, but I think you will find you're outnumbered in the government.

All the Best, Ron H.

Hi Christopher,

Your campaign page looks really good. I think your ideas are very good ones. I am pro-life also, and I believe we are sending people the wrong message by allowing a doctor to legally abort a child. I hope you win, because you can make a difference. I also like your ideas regarding prisoners. Make them work hard, and don't pay them anything in prison for their hard work! No cigs either. Maybe it will make a huge difference in the crime rate down the line. Health care is an important issue. We give prisoners free health care but we don't give it to law-abiding citizens. Also, I need to mention education. No more free education for immigrants or their children! Make them pay for it the same as American citizens do. I just can't believe some of the laws that are out there; they show NO common sense. Also, tax dollars are used for foster care, but if we helped families out, some of these kids would not be in foster care. Why does the government give money to foster care families for child care but not the real mothers that are trying to work? Make the non-custodial parent PAY child support. If they DO NOT pay, take away their driver's license; take away their trade license. I also feel the schools should have before- and after-school programs to help families take care of the children and make sure they are safe! There is so much this country has to work on, for sure. Well, Christopher, I know you are up for the challenge. First Nebraska, and then who knows where you can go from there.

Good luck!

Angela

I wish you the very best for your campaign, Christopher. I agree with what you say. I hope that you win.

Angel M.

I think the website looks great! Very professional and well spoken. I think that even though you definitely have your point of view on issues facing Nebraskans, you express yourself in a way that is unabrasive and non-judgmental. That is a rarity in a candidate. I especially like that you put a link for voter registration on the website. That is very convenient to anyone who hasn't already registered. I'm very excited for you. I will be keeping my eyes and ears open for updates on your campaign. Good luck to you! Keep me posted.

Jodi

Good luck to you, Christopher! I like your safety and health platform. Kudos to you :)

Jennifer

Wow, I am impressed. I would think very well of an individual running for Nebraska Legislature that had your ideas and focus, expressed as eloquently as you have here.

Good luck!
Debra

Chris,

I think everything you said is an undisputable fact. The borders have been opened by the people who claim to be aghast at the numbers that have come over, but they hire them and they have continually brought cheap labor here to the point that Mexico must not have any work force left.

The thing I think is missing is making it obvious how to get into the US legally: where to go, what to do, how long you must wait to be cleared. There is no legal door to walk through, so they climb in the window. Make it obvious but not easy: clean criminal record, etc. Jamaica has a way to get to the USA, and if you want to come here, you have to fly straight. What to do with the millions who are already here is the hardest part. Giving them a free ride doesn't help anyone. If they have the money for new cars, we need to find a way to get them to buy health care. It is so strange for the US to be so far behind other countries in health care yet have the opening of "can't turn them away at Emergency." The emergency room is the most critical place in any hospital, and yet they have to treat non-critical patients.

I really don't blame the illegals. It is the people that hire them and cut checks with no taxes taken out that are hurting us. If there is a way to get immigrants on the payroll, there is a way to get the money needed for health care and taxes when the waged are dispensed.

It is not easy, but Washington seems unwilling to do anything at all about it.

Good luck, CG. It takes courage to even attempt to do what you are doing. If you need music for a rally, let me know.

Stephen M.

Hi Christopher,

Just want to wish you luck.

Being active in politics myself I know what kind of determination, willpower and energy is involved in doing things right.

I believe that when you have a passion and believe in what you say and think you cannot go wrong.

You surely seem to have the passion to see this through.

I am sure that you will make a good and valid contribution.

The struggle continues...

Edith

Very well put, sounds like you are ready. Now go out and get what you have worked so hard to accomplish.

I believe you will even surprise yourself.

I wish you the very best of all your dreams.

Delaine

Christopher,

You're right in every way regarding your thoughts on immigration. Illegal immigrants are taking away our benefits that we have worked so hard for, and they come here and get what we, the people of the United States worked so hard for. They get refugee status here and do not have to pay taxes. UNFAIR. They can run their own business and not have to pay taxes. It is a shame that our own government does not take the time to place the right amount of law enforcement on the borders to keep this from happening, and it is also inhumane for the ones that do manage to cross to die suffering in the desert. We could at least help them get their strength back and then politely escort them back to the other side where they belong. I am no racist. I am friends to all, but the law is the law. We all should do as it says.

Kerri B.

I agree totally with what you are saying on your stance on immigration. I know that in Australia we had the same problems with people constantly getting into the country illegally, stealing our jobs and never paying taxes. They would get driver's licenses and welfare benefits, bleeding our country of money and help that Aussies need.

If someone is going to move to another country, they should do it legitimately, through all of the correct avenues and not through the back door while no one is looking.

Good for you for speaking your mind. The world needs more people to stick up for themselves and their communities, as you are doing.

Thanks,
Katherine

Hey, Christopher...

First of all, what a great decision to enter in the political arena. It's not always the greatest job in the world, but if you care, then it makes it all worthwhile (kind of like a teacher).

One of my biggest complaints that I have with politicians in general is how far they are away from the normal, regular people of this country/state. It seems ridiculous to have someone tell me “they care” about how I worry about sending my two children to college when we have a limited budget, but yet they live in a multi-million-dollar home and don't have to worry about making ends meet each month. That's just an outrageous example I gave you, and I obviously have nothing to back it up with, but you get the idea. I’d like to see more “normal” people getting involved with politics that understand where the majority of the country stands financially. I’d like to believe that when someone tells me “I understand” that they really understand and are in touch with the people rather than their pocketbook. Do I make sense?

And again, hats off to you.

Sarah

I think all of your views reflect a person with great morals, and if these are truly your beliefs you should have no problems receiving support in your campaign. I do have one suggestion, simply because I am a nurse—I think you should elaborate more on the healthcare issue. You are absolutely right, it is a shame that people have to choose between food and medicine, but everyone already knows that is an issue. What changes can be made, what changes are you willing to fight for? Look into what other states are doing to help out with this issue, look into Prescription Plans that are offered through Pharmaceutical Companies for patients in these situations. This is a huge area that affects everyone in some way. As with all political stands and issues, just be prepared for the unexpected questions. Good luck!!!

Tammy

I wish you the all the best in your campaign. I hope you win.

Amy J.

I think you have some great ideas for your platform. I agree on a lot of the programs you are trying to put in place. If you need any help from this end, I will do what I can to help with your campaign. Go for it!! I think it’s awesome.

Lots of love,
Sylvia

As far as your platform, I agree on everything!! YOU HAVE MY VOTE!!!!

Kee-ana

Illegal immigration is a huge problem, but the government wants it. Let me tell you about my neighborhood. My mother has lived in her house for 56 years on 36th & X. We are of Croatian descent, and this area was once European. Now it is Mexico City. We have gangs, including the MS13 from Guatemala, and graffiti, and litter. I heard gunshots outside my bedroom window at 1 AM. Police helicopters are always flying overhead. Illegals are driving without licenses, causing many accidents. They don't speak or read English. I see accidents all the time, making our insurance rates go up from the "hit and runs." I feel like I should be driving a tank!

I want you to read an e-mail I received from my friend in Long Island, NY dated 1-19-08. Here are his words: "Although the local police and law enforcement agencies are prohibited from rounding up illegals, private citizens are not. At least once a month, the places where the illegals gather for work are swept by legally armed citizens. They get detained, and INS is called and they get booted. It has the liberals' knickers in a twist but it is all legal. They have to deport them. Their families are given a choice. Go back with their men or surrender the children born here to CPS and apply for a visa. Most go back with their husbands. I say, what a simple solution."

So my question is, why isn't law enforcement allowed to pick them up? The government wants them here. And another question. Why are we rewarding them with our benefit plans for breaking the law? And what is this talk about giving them OUR Social Security, which WE put into all our lives? They aren't citizens here. Did the politicians forget? And why do we even have Press 2 for Spanish? What the hell is going on in this country? My family learned English and were proud. Seems to me that nobody is checking the Social Security numbers, obtained by them illegally. Such a simple process for employers or police. They would find out Jose Perez has John Doe's SS number, or just a phony number. Something is definitely wrong with this picture.

Why aren't there any raids at the meat packing plants? They're making money here and sending it back to Mexico. Mexico is profiting and USA is losing. The case of the 2 border patrol officers now one year in prison, is an outrage. I'm sure you've heard of their plight. The Attorney General must be OUT OF HIS MIND! And I can't believe they're still in prison. I could go on and on, but I’ll stop now. Just my opinion.

Take care Chris............Kit

You have a lot of good things to say. You have a lot of experience in the real world of how things work. I applaud you for your desire to make a change. I agree on the issue of prisoners working; why not, because it takes as much as I make all year to house them. The soldiers’ death benefits suck to say the least. That is a travesty in itself. I could go on and on but. I want to know this, since when is it okay to vote yourself a pay raise when your people are struggling and waiting for you to help them? Or why should it be okay for judges to take the summer off? Whatever happened to WE THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! We put in office the person we think is the least likely to screw us over, but WE never truly get a say in things. The questions are never answered, but they sure talk a lot. They tell us we wouldn’t understand because the issue is just too complicated—maybe they should simplify things and cut the bull. Money is just collected from us and spent, and from what I can see if I was to spend like that at my job or not get the job done the way they do, I WOULD BE FIRED!!!! I hope—but more importantly, I believe—that one honest, determined man can start a fire and get things going. Sometimes a real leader just needs to step up to show the incompetents that it can be done. Maybe, just maybe, one man can make a difference. Stand tall, strong, and proud. I’ll shut up now. You go, Sheriff Pusser. LOL You have my vote.

Gregg H.

Congratulations Master Geary,

When I was living in MN, I had a seat, no pun intended, on the Minnesota State Council on Disability, under Mr. Jesse V. All I can say at this point is stick to your guns and do not waver. You will never please everyone, but I admire your values. You will be in my thoughts and prayers!

Much respect,
Donald S. II

Hello Sir,

I must honestly say that immigration is one of my biggest peeves in this country. It pains me greatly to hear about the repercussions of having illegal immgrants within our borders. One thing that is not covered by many regarding illegal immigrants is the financial burdens placed upon our citizens when these illegal aliens get involved in auto accidents or crimes against the general peace such as criminal trespassing or negligence. They don't have jobs to pay for their mistakes or accidents, and they have no programs that cover them through insurance or such.

The issues addressed here are very accurate, and I agree with you. Our president spoke of plans to lock up our borders and deal with this issue, but I have yet to see the results. I was a part of a military task team that went down to the border and built up more elaborate walls separating our borders, using tactical military runways. But it seems that it didn't do that much of a difference. They are still finding fingers lost by immigrants stuck in between the gaps of the fence from where they have climbed over.

And then there are the terrorist Issues. I have heard rumors that this lack of security makes an excellent point of entry for terrorists. Some may be posing as Hispanics to enter the country on work visas.

I've seen the Border Patrol "return" captured illegals to the Mexican Government right at the border. They merely get processed and released, only to travel along the border and cross right back over after being released. Could we not instead place these individuals on some Cargo Liner and ship them to the southern tip of Mexico? At least that way they would have a lot further to travel in order to get back to the border.

I also don't mind if they wish to become citizens, but I prefer that they do it the right way. Thank you, sir, for dealing with this issue. It seems that the majority of our government are more concerned with other agendas.

Richard

I enjoyed reading your stance on many issues and find a couple of them to be a breath of fresh air.

  1. The death penalty: I studied law for a time and Corrections was one of the classes I had to take. I agree with you. There is an overwhelming amount of evidence to support your stance. Until we have a legal system that is unflawed, then there should never be the death penalty.

  2. Pro-life: It is about time someone tells it how it is. I believe the first and most important choice two consenting adults make is the underlying key to this. The choice was to have sex. After that the choice becomes “Do I keep the baby or give him/her to a family who wants them?” I have close friends who have adopted two beautiful children. They would not be parents today had the mother aborted her child.

I say good for you. I enjoyed reading your thoughts.

Elizabeth

Hello Christopher,

I checked out your site, and it's good "bread and butter" info. The issues involved with the death penalty can be complex, but I agree that some innocent people have died. Putting them to work and earning their keep makes a lot more sense given that it costs so much more to kill someone. I like the approach Sheriff Aparo from Arizona takes on running the prison.

I believe there are a lot of canidates who start out with good intentions, but when they make it, all too often they find themselves caught up in the muck of the old, broken system. I hope you can rise above this and help make the changes needed. I really feel the "career politicians" are a big part of the problem.

Good luck to you!!!

Jack
